Max loves porridge and would eat it every morning of the year, but especially on a cold winter's day.
Ingredients:
2/3 of a cup of porridge oats
1 1/2 cups of water
2 teaspoons of golden syrup
5 dried apricots, chopped

Instructions:
Mix the porridge, water, syrup and chopped apricots in a pot.  Bring the porridge to the boil and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 4 minutes (or as per the instructions on the back of the packet).

Serve either as is or with a splash of milk or a spoon of yoghurt.

Notes:
You can
use any dried fruit you like.  Sometimes Max mixes in raisins, sultanas or cut up dried peaches instead.  Sometimes he likes slices of banana sprinkled on top too!
