Nicola
loves making shortbread
with her Mum. She has lots of fun cutting the shapes.
- Ingredients:
250g unsalted butter
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1 cup cornflour
- 2 cups plain flour
Instructions:
Mix the butter and icing
sugar until it's light and fluffy. Add the cornflour and the plain
flour together and mix everything into a creamed mixture. Knead
well. On a lightly floured board roll out the mixture to 1.5 cm
thickness. Use whatever shape you like or is your favorite
(Nicola likes the shape of a gingerbread man and a star).
Place the shapes on a greased oven tray. Bake at 150 degrees
Celcius for 30 minutes or until golden.
Notes:
You can serve it with a cup of tea or coffee when your friends,
grandma or grandpa come to visit. Enjoy!
