1 cup of flour
1 cup of rolled oats
1 cup of sugar
¾ cup of coconut
2 Tbsp cocoa
3 oz of butter
2 Tbsp golden syrup
3 Tbsp of boiling water
1 ½ tsp of baking soda
Heat the oven at 160 degrees Celsius. Mix the first five ingredients together. Melt the
butter and the golden syrup. Dissolve the baking soda in the water. Add all the wet
ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well. Spoon balls of the mixture onto a tray
and flatten them with a floured fork, leaving some room for them to spread. Cook for about
15 20m minutes. When they are cool store them in an airtight container.
These crunchy biscuits are favourites from my childhood and I still
make them now.
