Suzanne made this recipe for her
mum for Mother's day (with a little bit of help from her Aunty)
- Ingredients:
Base:
185 grams of butter
95 grams of sugar
310 grams of flour
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
a few chopped walnuts
Topping:
half a tin of condensed milk
1 tablespoon of golden syrup
60 grams butter
Instructions:
Cream the first
quantity of butter and sugar then stir in the flour and
vanilla. Rub the mixture with your fingers until it's
crumbly. Press 3/4 of the mixture into a greased sponge roll
tin. Mis the chopped walnuts with the remaining mixture and
set aside.
Warm the condensed milk, syrup and second quantity of butter until
they're combined. Leave to cool then pour over the base.
Sprinkle the rest of the mixture and the walnuts over the
top. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius.
Leave the slice in the tin to cool then cut it into fingers
Notes:
Keep the Tan Fingers in an airtight container.
