Julianne and her famous cyber kid "Flossy" have sent us  a great way of introducing eggs to children.

Ingredients

2 egg whites
85-100g of sugar

Instructions

Break an egg onto a saucer and use an eggcup to put over the yolk and tip the egg whites into a clean bowl. Do the same with the second egg. If any of the yolks break and leak into the white, you have to start again. (Because the yolks have fat in them and the whites won’t whip properly otherwise.)

Beat them with an electric beater until they are stiff enough so that you can tip the bowl upside down and no egg whites fall out! That’s the fun bit! Then gradually, a spoonful at a time, add sugar into the bowl and keep beating until stiff. Oops, I forgot to say preheat the oven to 275F. Then put a piece of foil on an oven tray and spoon out little blobs of meringues. Cook in the oven for about an hour.
