Olivia's
mum was pleasantly surprised when Olivia enjoyed her first meal of
Cannelloni. Now it's
Olivia's favourite meal.
- Ingredients:
Filling:
1 pack of frozen spinach (250grams), thawed
- 225 grams of cottage cheese
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
1/2 a cup of cheese, grated
- 1 egg
1/2 a teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 and 1/2 packets of Cannelloni tubes
225 grams of cottage cheese
Topping:
1 jar of ready made tomato pasta sauce
225 grams of sour cream
2/3 of a cup of grated cheese
Instructions:
Mix the thawed spinach, cottage
cheese, garlic, grated cheese, egg, nutmeg and salt in a bowl then
fill the dry Cannelloni tubes with the mixture.
Pour a third of the pasta sauce into the bottom of a large oven
proof dish then place the filled tubes over the bottom of the
dish, in one layer. Pour the rest of the pasta sauce over the top
of the tubes.
Stir the sour cream so it is fairly runny and mix in half of the
grated cheese. Pour this over the pasta sauce and sprinkle
the rest of the cheese on top.
Cook at 200 degrees Celsius for 30 - 35 minutes. Allow to
cool a little before serving.
Notes:
If there
is any left over it is just as tasty the next night.
