Cool
winters nights are great for warm desserts. Helen loves apple
crumble and this is one of her favourite recipes.
- Ingredients:
4
or 5 apples peeled and sliced
1
tablespoon of sugar
60
grams of cold butter
½
cup of rolled oats
¼
cup of flour
¼
cup of brown sugar
¼
teaspoon of mixed spice
Instructions:
Butter
the bottom and sides of a casserole dish.
Spread the apple slices over the bottom of the dish and
sprinkle them with the tablespoon of sugar.
Grate the cold butter into a bowl.
Make sure your hands are clean then add in all the other
ingredients (oats, flour, brown sugar and mixed spice)
use your hands to rub the butter into the other
ingredients.
Sprinkle the crumble topping onto the apple slices.
Cook
the apple crumble for about 20 minutes at 190 degrees Celsius or
until the crumble is golden and crunchy and the apple is cooked
through.
Notes:
You
can add other fruit to the crumble like sultanas, peach slices,
berries.
Serve this ice cream.
