These are Sophie's favourite cakes
125g of butter
125g of sugar
2 eggs
175g of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon of milk

Beat the butter and sugar into a cream. Add the eggs and beat again. Add the flour and baking powder mixed together and lastly add the milk. Half fill the paper cases with the mixture then place them on a cold oven tray and bake about 10 to15 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius  (400 degrees Fahrenheit)
When cool, cut a small piece off the top of each cake. Put a heaped tsp of whipped cream on top of each cake. Cut the top pieces of the cakes in half and stand these on edge in the whipped cream to make wings. 

If you like, you can  decorate the cakes with small pieces of jelly made with jelly crystals or lightly dust the cakes in icing sugar.
