Dallas loves this chocolate cake - hope you do too!
1/4 cups of self raising flour
1/4 cup of milk
3 tablespoons of cornflour
1/2 cup of water
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence 
75 grams of butter
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1 egg

Turn oven to 180 degrees. Grease a 20 cm tin. Line the base of the tin with wax paper. Sift flour, cornflour, cocoa and sugar into a big bowl. Put butter in a pan and gently melt it. Take it off the heat and  add the milk, water, syrup, vanilla essence and baking soda. Mix it all together well. Add the egg and whisk it until mixed. Add it all to the big bowl. Stir it until mixed. Pour into tin. Bake it for 40 min.

Mix two cups of icing sugar together with one tablespoon of cocoa and one tablespoon of butter.  Add a few drops of vanilla essence and one tablespoon of hot water.  Mix well and add more hot water if required for a smooth texture. You can add melted chocolate for added chocolate flavour.....delicious!!
