helps her dad make Egg in a Basket for their Sunday morning
breakfast - it's their favourite!
1 egg (per person)
1 slice of bread (per person)
Use a biscuit cutter or a round container to cut a circle out of
the middle of each slice of bread.
Butter the bread on both sides including the circle.
Put a slice of bread in a heated frying pan with its circle
cut-out. When the
bread is golden and crispy turn it over and let the bread cook a
little, put a little dot of butter in the middle of the hole.
Break the egg into the hole.
When the bottom of the egg is cooked flip the bread and the
egg over and quickly cook the top of the egg.
Put the crispy circle of bread on top as a lid
Leave it to cool a little
before you eat it.
