I would help my  grandmother make these when I stayed with her for the holidays.


8 pre-cooked sausages
2 rashers of bacon, chopped
1 cup of grated cheese
1 onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp parsley, chopped
1 Tbsp of chutney
1 Tbsp of Worchester sauce
1 Tbsp of milk


Have an older person cut the sausages length-wise almost completely through, then spread them out flat like the wings of a butterfly. Place the sausage butterflies, cut side down on a grilling dish. Grill them for 4-5 minutes then turn them over. Mix all the other ingredients together then spread the mixture over the sausage butterflies. Grill them for another 4-5 minutes or until they are golden brown. Leave them to cool a little before eating.


If Worchester sauce is a little too strong in taste for you, you could use tomato sauce instead.
