Here’s a yummy
Banana Cake that Rebekah made with her Nana in Tauranga.
- Ingredients:
- 150 g
butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2
cup milk
1 cup mashed banana
Instructions:
Melt the
butter, add the sugar, eggs and vanilla essence and mix well.
Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together in a
bowl. Make a well in the middle and pour in the melted
butter mixture, mixing carefully. Slowly add the milk and
mashed banana. Pour into a greased and lined 20cm cake tin. Bake
at 180 degrees C. for 30 - 40 minutes. Let it cool in
the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack. Ice
with Lemon or Chocolate Icing.
