Sawdust

A friend sent this picture to me and it has been made using coloured sawdust. An adult can make some coloured sawdust for you using food colouring and a little water. When the sawdust is dry spread some newspaper down on your work surface then use paste to paint a pattern on your paper. Sprinkle the coloured sawdust over the pattern and shake off the excess sawdust onto the newspaper so you can return it to the container for recycling.

Not only does this kind of picture look good but when it’s dry it feels really interesting too!
