What
is You and Me?
You
and Me is a pre-school programme that played on TV3 in the
morning and was repeated again in the afternoon.
How
many You and Me programmes have you made?
We
made over 2000 programmes in the 7 years that You and Me was
in production.
Why
did you stop making You and Me?
Nearly all of the New Zealand children's television programmes
that are made each
year are funded by the government organisation called New
Zealand On Air. In 1998 it was decided that it was time
for a new production company to have the opportunity to make a
preschool programme so we stopped making You and Me.
How
did you learn all the Maori words for the programmes?
We had a
wonderful person on the team called Rangimoana Taylor who
helped me learn the Maori words for each programme.
Where
are doll, ted, dog, clown and the scarecrow family?
When we
stopped making You and Me all the toys and the set were sold
at auction so they're probably in someone's toy box somewhere
in New Zealand.
Did
you like being on You and Me?
I
loved being on You and Me because it was such a fun, friendly
show and the team were wonderful to work with!
